Yes, we are very beginner friendly. We will give you some instruction in the shop before you go on the range, and we always have a Range Safety Officer on duty, who may be able to give you some added help on the range if it isn’t too busy.

We do also offer introduction classes, or we can arrange a private lesson for you.

All new range shooters need to fill out our Waivers also found under THE RANGE section and fill out the forms prior to coming in, you may also fill out your waiver at our facility.

In Ohio you do not need to have any sort of specialized license to shoot or purchase a firearm. While Ohio is a Constitutional Carry State, we offer a CCW Firearm Class for those who wish to obtain their Concealed Carry License. You can register for a class in person at our facility, over the phone or online from our website. To register online, select the Firearm Classes tab, choose a class and proceed to purchase. We only accept range reservations from Select Fire Training Center members Monday – Friday. We do not take any range reservations on weekends.

Yes. Select Fire charges a $45 transfer fee. Annual Members pay $25. For more member benefit information see our Membership page.

We are open 7 days a week, the current operating hours are listed at the bottom of every website page. Generally the slower times are Monday-Thursday before 4PM, though we can get very busy during those times as well. If you wish please call 440-973-4350 to approximate range availability.

We allow all standard handgun cartridges, and for rifles we allow up 223. For .223/5.56, you must by the ammunition from us, no outside ammunition is allowed for those calibers.

The most common cartridges that we do not allow are: 7.62×39, .308 .30-06, 7.63x54R, 7mm, 6.8SPC, .338 Lapua, 7.7×5.8mm, 270, 22-250, 3040 Krag, .45-70.

This list is not all inclusive, and anything else that we deem to be unsafe for our backstop will not be allowed.

Yes! If you are shooting only handgun(s) then you will be charged at the handgun lane rate. If you are shooting both handgun(s) and rifle(s) in the rifle lanes, you will be charged at the rifle lane rate

The range is approximately 25 yards, there is no difference in length the rifle side.
