No, you don’t need to bring your own. We offer a variety of firearms for rent and ammunition for purchase at our shop. However, feel free to bring your own if you prefer; just make sure to have it in a case or holster before entering our store. For specific inquiries about our rentals or ammunition availability, please call us at 440.973.4350 to speak with one of our retail associates.
Safety is our top priority. All shooters must follow range safety rules, and our Range Safety Officers (RSOs) are on hand to ensure compliance. We also require new shooters to complete a safety briefing before using the range. We offer a wide range of classes for all experience levels, from beginner firearm safety to advanced tactical training. Classes are taught by certified instructors, and you can view our schedule and register online.
Yes! We offer a trade-in program and buy used firearms. You can also find great deals on quality used guns in our shop. Our Retail Manager, Jim, leads this effort and can assist with any inquiries about buying or selling.
The minimum age for handgun shooters is 21, and for long gun shooters, it is 18. Shooters under 18 must have parental approval and be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. We encourage everyone to learn to shoot safely and correctly. For those under 18, we recommend private instruction to ensure proper safety and shooting fundamentals. You’re welcome to walk in and reserve a lane with one of our retail associates. However, if you plan to shoot on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, we recommend using our online lane reservation system, as there is often a wait during those days. Please note that during peak times, shooting may be limited to one hour.
At Select Fire Training Center, we love welcoming new shooters! We offer both classroom and private instruction tailored to your needs. You’ll learn the fundamentals of shooting in a safe and enjoyable environment. If you’d prefer to try shooting without formal training, we recommend starting with a smaller .22 caliber handgun or long gun and visiting us on Monday nights from 4 PM to 8 PM. Please inform our retail staff and Range Safety Officer upon arrival that you are new to shooting so we can provide basic guidance before you enter the range.
