Select Fire Training Center (SFTC) is proud to welcome women of any experience level to our training facility that includes both classroom and range instruction. We have created a low-key, encouraging environment to teach basic shooting fundamentals even for those who have never shot a gun before. In this class we look forward to teaching you about gun safety and practical firearm instruction and we understand that as a new shooter you many not yet feel comfortable at the range among other experienced shooters. We’ve developed our women-only basic handgun training class to encourage you to hone your skills in a safe and low pressure environment. You’ll learn and practice with other women at your skill level and foster a passion and appreciation for the shooting sports together. The beginner handgun course is perfect for new shooters but also serves as a refresher for more experienced shooters. The class is taught over three hours and includes two hours of instruction with 1 hour of range time and is designed for people with limited or no shooting experience in a private setting. You are welcome to bring your own gun but SFTC is happy to provide you a firearm if you need one at no extra charge. SFTC will also provide eye and ear protection for each student free of charge. By the end of the course you will be able to shoot safely, comfortably and with confidence.

• Putting it into Practice with live fire training ( our instructors will watch and guide you the entire time so that you feel completely safe and confident in your shooting abilities)

THINGS TO KNOW:

• Bring Government Issued ID
• Must be 21 or older to participate or have a legal guardian in the class for those under 21
• Please arrive 15 minutes early for registration and to start on time
• If climbing stairs is an issue, please let us know so we can accommodate
• Handgun Optional, If you do not own a handgun SFTC will provide one for free
• 22LR and 9mm ammo will be provided. Any other ammo type is available for purchased or BYO (minimum 50 rounds)
• Eye and Ear protection provided free of charge (feel free to bring you own if you prefer)
• Wear closed toe shoes and no low cut necklines
• Class will incorporate material from USCCA Woman’s Basic Pistol
• A good attitude, ready for a fun learning experience!
