You are worth protecting! This class is the next step up from the basic handgun training. Intermediate Handgun Class will teach you to improve accuracy and distance through proper shooting fundamentals and how to quickly address a threat during a critical incident. Topics include a detailed explanation of what students should know about avoiding, escaping, and defending against an attacker, and even what the student should know about their obligations under the law when it comes to the legal right to use force. Instructors will explain and demonstrate a number of methods of drawing a firearm including from a holster or from a handbag. This class if for women who have completed the basic handgun class or for experienced shooters looking for a refresher on handguns. Similar to the Beginner Handgun the Intermediate Handgun Class will include approximately 2 hours of classroom instruction with 1 hour of live fire on the range in a private setting.

THINGS TO KNOW:

• Bring Government Issued ID
• Must be 21 or older to participate or have a legal guardian in the class for those under 21
• Please arrive 15 minutes early for registration and to start on time
• If climbing stairs is an issue, please let us know so we can accommodate
• Handgun Optional, If you do not own a handgun SFTC will provide one for free
• 22LR and 9mm ammo will be provided. Any other ammo type is available for purchased or BYO (minimum 50 rounds)
• Eye and Ear protection provided free of charge (feel free to bring you own if you prefer)
• Wear closed toe shoes and no low cut necklines
• Class will incorporate material from USCCA Women’s Defensive Pistol
• A good attitude, ready for a fun learning experience!
