Class Details:

We are excited to be bringing back our Intro Handgun Field Strip & Cleaning Class! This class will cover basic field stripping and cleaning of common semi-automatic and revolver handguns.

Topics Covered:

• Gun safety during cleaning process
• Discussion of how often to clean
• Field-strip level breakdown of handgun into high level components (frame/trigger group, slide, barrel, operating spring)
  Visual inspection of wear points
• Appropriate cleaning & lubrication techniques for:

Slide tracks
Bolt face & extractor
Feed ramp
Barrel

• Reassembly & dry fire check
• Selecting the right cleaning kit that fits your needs

Required Equipment:

• Your firearm and holster
• Two magazines for semi-auto or one speed loader for revolver
• Ammunition (50 rounds)
• Eye and ear protection

Prerequisites:

• Basic Handgun Knowledge and Shooting Skills

Things To Know:

• Bring Government Issued ID
• Must be 21 or older to participate
• Please arrive 15 minutes early for registration and to start on time
• If climbing stairs is an issue please let us know so we can accommodate
• Handgun Optional, If you do not own a handgun SFTC will provide one for free
• If you intend to shoot after the class a minimum 50 rounds of ammunition (BYO or Available for purchase at SFTC)
• Eye and Ear protection provided free of charge (feel free to bring you own if you prefer)
• Closed toe shoes and no low cut necklines
